DHA is looking for a Sr. Director for Business Development supporting our customer and headquarters in the DC Metro area. This position requires an active Top Secret Clearance.
DHA is seeking a senior business development executive to lead DHA’s BD process from “soup to nuts”. DHA is a mid-market IT Solutions company with focus on Federal cleared business with in the full lifecycle of IT Services. Over the last 5 years, DHA has achieved explosive growth and we need some one who is ready to take our winning culture to the next level by focusing exclusively on the DHA pipeline, strategic growth and partnerships.
The right individual will be the “front face” and ambassador to our new clients, partners, and strategic vendor relationships. The definition of your success is your ability to turn nothing into something. Take ideas, expiring contracts, customer relationships, agency strategic plans, and align them to DHA core capabilities, market trends, and government spending plans. Utilize those resources and turn those into procurements that DHA has the ability to pursue as a Prime and then “Win”.
DHA has one of the best win percentages in the DoJ space. If the challenge of maintaining and increasing our win percentage makes you nervous, then please do not apply for this position. You will not be judged on how many meetings you set up or lunches you attend. You will not be judged on the dollar value of your pipeline potential over a 24-month forecast.
You will be judged on your ability to influences the buyers to select DHA as the awardee. Your ability to turn proposals into revenue will determine your longevity with DHA, period. What stands behind you is a fully integrated overhead organization that is mission focused and defines themselves by production and not activities. You must work with the COO and CEO to identify buying opportunities and submit them into the pipeline. You must work with the Operations Team to understand DHAs core capabilities and identify new customers in our space.
You must demonstrate that you have the ability to work with the Contracts Department to negotiate and execute NDAs and Teaming Agreements to DHA’s benefit. You must work with proposals and recruiting to help drive the winning strategies and key personnel requirements. You must provide meaningful input on your competition and the market to drive the pricing direction with our Senior Controller. All that, and you must win! The victory is not the submission. Skills are essential for you to get the interview, but your character and personality will get you the job.
