    DHA Group, Inc. is looking for an Sr. IT Specialist (Tier 2 Deskside support) with an active Top Secret Clearance and SCI Eligibility, to support a very dynamic customer in Quantico, VA.

     

    Qualified Candidate Summary:

    Performs duties of a non-routine complex nature under general guidance using initiative and independent judgment. Errors cause delay, expense, or disruption. Competent to work on complex technical Desk Side Service assignments.

    Typical duties include installing, maintaining and administering microcomputer and desktop systems and associated peripherals, telecommunications products, business application software, and various operating systems.

     

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

     

    • Install desktops, portable microcomputers, peripherals, and software products for networked, classified and unclassified, and standalone environments.
    • Detect, diagnose, and resolve desktop and portable microcomputer software and hardware failures.
    • Provide information, guidance, and instruction on use of desktop and portable microcomputer hardware and software.
    • Analyze and assess customers’ service request and provide prompt technical solutions.
    • Conduct IT audits in compliance with policies governing the administration, utilization, and acquisition of desktop and portable microcomputer products.
    • Prepare progress/status reports team leads.
    • Utilize trouble-ticketing software for opening/closing tickets in a timely and appropriate manner.
    • Identify and document areas for process improvements.
    • Contact and effectively communicate with users by telephone, electronic communications, or in person.
    • Prepare equipment for reuse or surplus of property actions.
    • Provide technical support for customers assigned to remote locations.
    • Perform software and hardware upgrades and installations involving multiple microcomputers configured for desktop, portable, and server operations.
    • Coordinate the disassembly and reinstallation of automation equipment in support of office relocations.
    • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

     EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

    • Bachelor’s degree in discipline or equivalent experience desired.
    • 5 or more years professional Service Desk experience desired.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with operating systems, business applications, and microcomputer hardware platforms.
    • Current industry certifications desired.
